Quiet Ride, got 1 mpg more on 2nd trip, May 29, 2012 This review is from: Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max Radial Tire - 225/60R16 98HR (Automotive) We had Michelin Harmony tires on our 2001 Dodge Intrepid, {142,000 miles on odometer}. These tires lasted 52,000 miles, before one rear tire sidewall blew out. These tires were about 4 1/2 years old and had some tread left. We replaced these with 4 Goodyear Viva Authority Fuel Max P225 60R 16 tires, at Walmart. Immediately, I noticed the much quieter ride and the car tracked well on the highway at 65 mph. The steering wheel did not need to be constantly moved to keep the car on the road.
We read as many reviews about LRR tires and side by side LRR tire comparisons like "InAutoNews" May 2012 review of Low Rolling Resistance tires on a Toyota Prius. We found that Michelin did not make LRR tires in our size, which were used on this Prius. So we were left with buying Goodyear LRR tires. But Goodyear LRR tires were about $38 less per tire than the cost of Michelin LRR tires.
